- Head of Project Management Office in TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE, a.s.
- BUT, Engineering Mechanics and Biomechanics (Ph.D.)
I am currently working as the Head of Project Management Office (“PMO”) in TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (“TDV”) company in Kopřivnice, which is known for developing and manufacturing special armored vehicles PANDUR II 8x8 and TITUS 6x6 and also armored cabins for TATRA trucks with a high level of antimine and ballistic protection. At present time I am also the project manager of the TITUS 6x6 program for the Czech Armed Forces.
I did my engineering and doctorate degree in Engineering Mechanics and Biomechanics at the Brno University of Technology. During my studies, I started my professional career as a FEM analyst and R&D Engineer in weapons manufacturing company following by an automotive supplier company where I started to get interested in project management.
At that time, I joined Czech Armed Forces as an Active Reservist in the 72. mechanized battalion and have been first appointed as combat engineer section leader, followed quickly by promoting to combat&logistics support platoon leader. After few years I took the opportunity to become the senior staff officer in the current rank of the first lieutenant.
The experiences and interest in the military, mechanical engineering, weapons and automotive resulted in achieving the very demanding but enriching job of the Project manager in TDV. Due to many new projects a Project Management Office is set up in TDV and I am happy to be the appointed Head of the PMO.
